In my younger and teenage years, I was obsessed with video games; fighting games included. When Street Fighter II Turbo released on Super Nintendo, it was an epic first-of-its-kind-at-home moment. In high school, my friends and I moved on to Tekken 3. We would practice at home on PlayStation, then bring our skills to the public arcade where we would meet kids from other schools and compete with our hard earned quarters. No organization, no "meet you at [time]", no internet -- just show up on the weekend. Those days are gone forever, sadly.
I don't play much anymore, and honestly the games have gotten so advanced that I would be no good. But I've always wanted to attend the biggest fighting game tournament in the world. This year I'm finally going, at least to spectate. Stoked. Hopefully I'll put a nice photo journal together.
